In addition to the private company courses, Mercuur Taal organizes group courses that are open for everyone. Open registration courses take place in our classroom in the centre of Amsterdam (see route description).

These courses consist of 10 lessons of 2 hours each (in total 20 hours). There is one lesson per week. We suggest the participants spend 2 hours per week on homework. For the beginner courses it is necessary to have good English language skills. Grammar will be explained in English and new words will be translated.
The open registration courses will take place 4 times per year:
1.September – November;
2.November – February;
3.February – April;
4.April – July.

The atmosphere in the classroom is relaxed and informal. There is a 15 minute break, in which one can drink coffee or tea (for free). During the break there is time for social interaction with the other participants. A lot of participants like to meet people in the same circumstances. Often, participants start seeing each other outside the classroom. In this way the course provides a welcome expansion of their social network.
